Home

There are so many new illnesses abound the world today. Before, people used to live longer and with only a handful of illnesses. But today’s times are very much different because of the many changes that take place.

The typical life of an individual begins as she wakes up in the morning. She then goes through her life everyday doing her routine activities. She goes to work, meet deadlines, attend meetings, and deals with different kinds of people. At home, she has to do chores, and spend time with the family. And not only that, she encounters different situations everyday that either she welcomes or resents. Many factors contribute to making an individual ill.

Episode

The episodes are divided into four types: Depression, Mania, Hypomania, and Mixed Mood. When a person feels depressed, he or she feels sad and don’t want to do the usual things. The milder form is known as hypomania which can lead to either depression or mania; this episode also starts with feeling good and the person may think that more things are done. The four main types of bipolar are the following:

1. Bipolar I – this type involves manic and mixed episodes, as well as major episodes of depression. The bipolar patient may experience more than one episode for several days, weeks, or even months. Seasonal changes also seem to affect the symptoms exhibited by the person.

2. Bipolar II – this involves major episodes of depression and a hypomania episode. Normal functioning can also take place in between the said episodes.

3. Cyclothymic Disorder – this is a fluctuating disturbance in mood with hypomania and depression episodes. This is considered the milder form since episodes do not occur regularly and happens for shorter and less severe times.

4. Not Specified – this is a treatable disorder and the symptoms exhibited by the individual does not fall into any of the three types mentioned; the disorder varies from one person to another.

There is no known cause of bipolar disorder. Some say that it has something to do with genetics. But that alone is not enough to cause such disorder. Perhaps other factors contribute to the disorder and that is why further studies are underway.

People from different races, ethnic groups, children, teenagers, or young/older adults can suffer from bipolar disorder. The brain cells of each individual don’t work normally if there is an imbalance in the neurotransmitters. These are special chemicals that seem to be involved in the disorder.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the person will stop, they can get a new phone to call you from etc - but having their name gives you an advantage and if you confront them with the evidence and let them know you will just keep reporting them then you are no longer being a faceless victim and most people are cowards and will just stop straight away.

I’m at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf while I’m writing this. It’s a Saturday for me. I was working two jobs the whole month: my day job and my alter ego as a web marketer. After yesterday’s 6-hour coaching session, and working like a beheaded chicken at work,

I crashed and slept like a log for more than 12 hours straight.
Now, the afternoon sun is bright and sunny, and there’s a noisy crowd in the shop at Island Plaza.  Most of them look like Fitness First people and they are talking up a storm.

I just walked in with camo shorts, a Bruce Lee (hoo-watta!! weave in weave out, hoo…) t-shirt and a Lenovo netbook in tow. I was dead set in making a blog or two by today! So here we go…
 
My Take-Aways

I want to start with the take-aways because this feels like a longish blog for me. So to give my readers instant gratification, I’ll put the take-aways ahead of the rest.

1.    I’m going to win the contest, Alex! Alex Jeffreys is a smart coach, in his efforts to keep us on our toes and make us take action, he’s given us something big to shoot for. In a nutshell, the most eyeballs who look at our blogs will get a nice prize.

The Coaching

The last Alex Jeffreys Coaching Session was held at about the same time as the last one. 7am Malaysia, 11pm UK, 6pm Eastern Standard, 10am Australia.

When you create blog articles (algae), you create food for the people make comments on (clams), which attracts web surfers looking for information(fish), to write more comments on your articles (clams) if it is really really good, attracting even more fish (web surfers) to the site….
